We are proud to announce that in June 2017 Ceraneum Center received funding from the the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (National Program for the Development of Humanities, “Uniwersalia” 2.2 module) entitled The Novgorod First Chronicle – Polish Translation and Scientific Account of the Oldest Chronicle of Novgorod the Great. The project will be implemented at Ceraneum Center by the team led by Dr Zofia Brzozowska in collaboration with the IT Department at the Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics, University of Łódź.
Our first interdisciplinary project is worth noticing, because so far we have had implemented grants within humanities or social science. The current project combines representatives of the humanities (historians, linguists, literary scholars) along with representatives of science (mathematics, information technology). The project will be implemented from 2017 to 2019. The team consists of: Dr hab. Ivan Petrov from Slavonic Philology (Faculty of Philology, UŁ) and Ceraneum Center, Dr Bartosz Zieliński from IT Department (Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics, UŁ) and Jan Morawicki MA, Slavonic Philology PhD student.
